Goldfish Plant

Description:
The Goldfish Plant is a vibrant, trailing houseplant admired for its glossy green leaves and unique, bright orange flowers that resemble tiny goldfish. This tropical beauty thrives indoors, adding a lively, cascading element to shelves, hanging baskets, or plant stands. With proper care, it blooms profusely, rewarding plant enthusiasts with its charming, playful flowers. Fortunately, it is easy to maintain, making it an excellent choice for both beginners and experienced growers.

Watering:
Water when the top inch of soil feels dry. Keep the soil consistently moist but not soggy, as overwatering can cause root rot. Use lukewarm water to avoid shocking the roots. During Winter, reduce watering frequency as the plant’s growth slows.

Fertilizer:
Feed with a balanced liquid fertilizer diluted to half strength every 4-6 weeks during the growing season (Spring and Summer). A bloom-boosting fertilizer high in phosphorus can encourage more flowers. Reduce feeding in Fall and Winter.

Lighting:
Thrives in bright, indirect light. Placing it near a window with filtered sunlight helps maintain its vibrant foliage and encourage blooming. Avoid prolonged exposure to direct sunlight, which can scorch the leaves, and low light, which may reduce flowering.

Temperature:
Prefers temperatures between 65-75°F (18-24°C). Protect it from cold drafts, sudden temperature changes, and exposure to temperatures below 55°F (13°C), which can stress the plant.

Humidity:
Enjoys moderate to high humidity (50% or more). If indoor air is dry, mist the leaves occasionally, place the plant near a humidity tray, or use a humidifier to promote healthy growth and flowering.
